Christian Wegener
Christian Wegener (LL.M ‘00) is Minister Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Denmark in Geneva and is leading the Economic and Trade Section of the Mission covering in particular WTO and World Economic Forum (WEF). He has served as chairman of several WTO bodies (Working Party on Domestic Regulation and the Committee of Rules of Origin) as well as chairman of the General Assembly of the Advisory Centre for WTO Law in Geneva.
Mr. Wegener practiced law for a number of years in a private law firm in Denmark and later acted as counsel and co-agent for his government in cases before the Court of Justice of the European Union. Furthermore, he has worked in the European Commission and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and taught EU law at the University of Copenhagen.
