David Morfesi

Morfesi_David_WEBDavid Morfesi is the Managing Director of Morfesi Stewart Consulting in Adelaide (Australia), Director of International Trade for Minter Ellison Lawyers in Melbourne and Research Fellow at the University of South Australia School of Law.  Recently named in the Australian Financial Review as”Lawyer of the Year, 2017″ for Trade Law in Melbourne by Best Lawyers Australia (R), David is the immediate past Executive Director of the Institute for International Trade at the University of Adelaide and an international trade lawyer specialising in international trade law and policy, intellectual property, free trade agreements (FTAs), investment treaties, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption issues, trade remedies, customs and regulatory matters affecting trade in goods and services.
David previously worked as an international trade advisor for the United States Government in Washington, DC and Geneva, including serving as delegate to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), World Health Organisation (WHO), World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). His experience includes serving as a negotiator for fifteen US bilateral and multilateral free trade agreement negotiations and as technical advisor and counsel for WTO dispute resolution.
