Johann Strauss is an associate in the International Trade Practice of the law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in Washington DC. He advises clients on trade policy issues and disputes before the World Trade Organization (WTO). He also advises clients on compliance with U.S. export controls and sanctions matters under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and U.S. sanctions programs.
Mr. Strauss received his J.D. from New York University School of Law where he was an Executive Editor of the New York University Law Review. He earned both a B.A. in international relations and a M.A. in Latin American studies from Stanford University.
