Naoto Nelson Saika

Naoto Nelson Saika recently returned to his home in Washington, District of Columbia, after spending six months in Geneva as an intern at the Appellate Body Secretariat of the World Trade Organization (WTO). He completed his LL.M. in International Business and Economic Law at Georgetown University Law Center with a certificate in WTO Studies.

Prior to his legal career, Nelson worked in the grain industry as an international trader for a large Japanese corporation. He specialized in wheat and rice import-export between North America and Southeast Asia, including Japan, of which annual volume exceeded one million metric tons during his time as manager of the company’s Oregon-based office.
