Torsten Ström is a Member of the Bar of Ontario, and General Counsel with the Trade Law Bureau, Government of Canada, where he has worked since 1999. He earned his LL.B. at the University of Ottawa in 1990 and his LL.M. in International and Comparative Law at the University of Brussels in 1995. Mr. Ström has represented Canada in international trade negotiations, in the negotiation of multilateral environmental agreements, and has appeared before WTO dispute settlement panels and the Appellate Body. His areas of trade law expertise include: technical barriers to trade, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, government procurement, and general trade and environment matters.
