Valeria Tiffer (LL.M’15) is a dispute settlement lawyer at the Appellate Body Secretariat of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva. At the WTO, she assists the Members of the Appellate Body in the conduct of appellate review proceedings under the WTO dispute settlement mechanism.
Ms. Tiffer holds an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School and a law degree from the University of Costa Rica. At Harvard, she served as the first president of the Harvard International Arbitration Law Students Association and undertook a clinical project at the International Finance Corporation (IFC). At the University of Costa Rica, she was the captain of the first Costa Rican team in the ELSA Moot Court Competition, winning awards for best oralist and written submissions.
