William Isasi
As an Assistant Chief Counsel, Mr. Isasi advises Enforcement & Compliance on a wide range of legal issues pertaining to antidumping and countervailing (“AD/CVD”) proceedings. For more than 15 years, Mr. Isasi has litigated a number of AD/CVD matters before the WTO Dispute Settlement system, including recent challenges brought by the Government of China to the Department’s CVD methodologies (DS 379 and DS 437). Mr. Isasi has also participated in litigation before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Court of International Trade, and North American Free Trade Agreement dispute panels. Previously, Mr. Isasi was an associate with Steptoe & Johnson, LLP where he practiced in the International Group and he was an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center where he taught a constitutional law seminar, Sexual Orientation & the Law, for seven years. Mr. Isasi received his B.S. in Psychology from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
